Jett McIntyre Furr was born in Albemarle, North Carolina in 1990, and was named for aircraft. He earned an Associate in Applied Science in Advertising and Graphic Design from Stanly Community College, also in Albemarle, in 2013. His primary software of choice these days is Clip Studio Paint, along with Illustrator and Photoshop.

Professionally, Jett worked as an intern and then volunteer at PBS affiliate WTVI Charlotte, where he worked on editing, graphics, and various jobs around the studio. Since then he has worked as a freelance artist in his area, largely working on private commissions.

Aside from his graphic design training, Jett also works on character design and landscape art, with a particular interest in space art. He is also an Artist member of the International Association of Astronomical Artists (IAAA.org).
