Jett McIntyre Furr was born in Albemarle, North Carolina in 1990, and was named for aircraft. He earned an Associate in Applied Science in Advertising and Graphic Design from Stanly Community College, also in Albemarle, in 2013. During his college years, Jett also took classes in Maya from the game design program, having used 3D programs like Bryce and Wings3D since he was around 8 years old. His current primary experience is in the programs Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, and Sketchbook Pro.
Professionally, Jett worked as an intern and then volunteer at PBS affiliate WTVI Charlotte, where he worked on editing, graphics, and various jobs around the studio. He has also been working as a freelance artist in his area for the last few years, working on individual commissions and for the game developers Firebar Studios.
Aside from his graphic design training, Jett also works on character design and landscape art, with a particular interest in space art. He is currently a journeyman member of the International Association of Astronomical Artists (
